How to Get Long, Beautiful Nails
6:00 AM
For some, having long, healthy nails is a dream. Like me, I have very short brittle nails so it's always frustrating to get my nails stronger and grow healthier. I'm also a nail biter..... I KNOW, I KNOW its such a disgusting habit but I'm not going to lie to my readers. Today's post is going to teach myself as well as my fellow readers, that its possible to get long, beautiful nails with these helpful tips. Let's jump right in.
Tip #1 Eat Protein: Make sure you have a proper intake of protein-rich foods like eggs, meat, and beans. You can also drink protein shakes occasionally and/or vitamin D supplements to help with nail growth.
Tip #2 Take Biotin Supplements: Biotin is great for brittle nails. Biotin can be found in natural foods like raw egg yolk, liver, leafy green vegetables, and peanuts but, its more commonly taken as a supplement. No it won't make your nails grow faster, but it will make them less breakable.
Tip #3 Wear Household Gloves: Most detergents have gross effects on your skin and can also make your nails brittle, so always try to wear cotton-lined household gloves when doing the dishes.
Tip #4 Trim Your Nails Regularly: A great way to avoid nail breakage is to file and trim your nails regularly.
Tip #5 Do NOT Bite Your Nails (Like Me): If you are a biter, when you feel the urge to bite your nails , try chewing a piece of gum or paint your nails so they look too pretty to bite.
Tip #6 Moisturize: Use a hand and nail moisturizer three times a day. Olive oil makes a great natural moisturizer.
Tip #7 Use Nail Strengthener: Use a nail strengthener twice a week, this can also make your nails dazzle.
Tip #8 Avoid Acetone: Use nail polish remover sparingly, especially if it contains acetone. This ingredient can dry out your nails.
I will definitely let you know how these tips work for me. Let me know how they worked for you in the comments below. I hope you all enjoyed this post. Have a Beautiful day everyone!!!
